Spritual battles and the power of temptation are real in our lives. One of the big differences of increased warfare is when we pursue God for truth with passion. Why is that?
The enemy is a deceiver and the father of lies.
“For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44
The enemy hates truth and even the religious crowd argued with Jesus. They were more concerned with their reputation how they looked compared to character where Jesus lives in our heart if we allow him to.
We need to Be Alert, Watchful and Soberminded to Overcome Temptation and the Great Enemy.
When we sin habitually usually the same vices we get trapped into bondage. Some vices could be drugs, alcohol, pornography, stealing, gossip, envy, jealousy, etc.
“Some are works of the flesh, others are blatant from the enemy. Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.” John 8:34-36 NLT
Jesus Is The Truth and this is how we overcome with personal victory!
We can’t do it in our own strength, but God’s Word through His Spirit lives in us victory.
” Jesus said, ‘You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free” John 8:32.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life…” John 14:6a
“Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 NASB
“Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world”
We have been made More than Conquers in Christ Jesus’
I know some of you may doubt God or this devotion but thats the enemies plan. To keep you away from God’s love and grace. There is power and forgiveness at the cross of Christ.
Experience Gods power today and ask the Lord to help you if you are struggling today. Trust God for that struggling child, or nephew-neice, grandchild, or even your spouse. Maybe it’s your in-law or co worker, but pray that Jesus would break the chains and bondage in His name today!
My friend, Be Watchful and Alert this week and beyond, for there is always hope if we just believe. The battle belongs to the Lord.

The purpose of my blogging and writing is to encourage you in your journey here on planet earth. Life is full of pressing issues and problems and my desire is to discover a place for peace, hope, healing, and contentment. I am a follower of Jesus Christ – God’s one and only Son of God and discovered these truths along my own personal journey.
Having discovered a personal relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ does not mean I have to be religious to attain the rewards of heaven. The fact is God provides grace for us and accepts us as we are in His image. In other words, we cannot attain heaven or life eternal on our own, but by God’s loving grace and no merit of our own.
My goal is to continue to find a balance of life from a spiritual and practical perspective with a purpose to please and glorify God in all that I do because of His ‘Gift of Grace’.
God is not transcendent and so far away that he is out of reach with humanity. God desires that His presence lives within us and not just in the galaxies and the universe. Experiencing the unconditional love of God has been so rewarding and while discovering the truth and purpose for my life. Moving forward in this life is not a sprint, but a marathon when it comes to this race here on earth.
I am blogging because I find it is a good way to connect in a much more effective and efficient way when it comes to communicating and interacting with with people that I do not know. Blogging and writing challenges me and also stretches me specifically in my thoughts, my mind, my emotions, and my spiritual life to live a vertical relation with God and a horizontal relationship with others.
There will be a variety of topics and subjects to address including youth, young adults, family, singles, seniors, relationships, etc. Some of the topics will include God’s creation and power, depression, loneliness, suicide, hope, healing, setbacks, financial matters, business, stress, anxiety, care, encouragement, and so much more

I am currently writing a book and several memoirs about my own life and journey . The journey begins at a young age growing up in Malden, Massachusetts, specifically Maplewood Square to where I am today. I became paralyzed from the waist down as a senior in high school and I share how my life changed for the better!
