The GPS is one of the best inventions of modern man. Just ask any woman and she will agree with you because most guys “know where they are going” when it comes to directions! I literally got lost last night driving with my wife because I thought I knew the road. We ended up on a dead end in somebody’s gated driveway near the ocean! Lol.
When I think of direction I have to ask myself is this what I want in my life, or is this what God wants for me? Too often in my own strength and knowledge I always feel I have the situation under control. The reality is that I don’t because the Lord always has a better way and plan for our lives. This is where GPS has to kick in!
True victory in the battles we face only come by doing it God’s way according to His plan. I know this can be difficult because we know it all and how it should be done.
King Jehoshaphat gets his cue GPS from the Lord for Israel and Judah when it came to warfare against the enemy.
- The king prayed and God told them not to fear the enemy.
- Listen for the plan and follow directions.
The battle is the Lord’s. God says to trust Him completely.
- Take your positions, Stand still and watch the Lord give you the victory.
“O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.” He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat!
This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!”
2 Chronicles 20:12, 15, 17 NLT
Have a victorious weekenf my friend.
