Be Strong and Stand Tall

Fear can paralyze us in many ways. Fear is not only an emotion, but a spirit that will prevent us from moving forward in life.

We need to be reminded not every obstacle that comes our way is the end of the world. God allows these obstacles and trials for a reason and a season. Other times its just outright evil that we face like the invasion of Ukraine 🇺🇦 by Russian leaders. Just like the Israelites who feared an evil Pharoah and Egypt. Israel faced giants in order to get into the promised land which was led by Joshua and Caleb which occurred much later.

This was their report to Moses: “We entered the land you sent us to explore, and it is indeed a bountiful country—a land flowing with milk and honey. Here is the kind of fruit it produces. But the people living there are powerful, and their towns are large and fortified. We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak! But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. “Let’s go at once to take the land,” he said. “We can certainly conquer it!” But the other men who had explored the land with him disagreed. “We can’t go up against them! They are stronger than we are!” So they spread this bad report about the land among the Israelites:

“The land we traveled through and explored will devour anyone who goes to live there. All the people we saw were huge. We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak. Next to them we felt like grasshoppers, and that’s what they thought, too!”
Numbers 13:27‭-‬28‭, ‬30‭-‬33 NLT

The 10 spies lost hope and faith because they were intimidated. Caleb saw a different picture and knew that faith in God would give them the victory.

Well they got the victory doing it God’s way and not their own way! The walls of Jericho fell flat and they captured Canaan. See Joshua 6

When Moses led the Israelites the Red Sea opened on dry ground. Israel was afraid of Pharoah and his cohorts, but God had other plans because Moses instilled faith in them to believe and trust God no matter how alarming the situation was that they were facing. What are you facing now, today?

Then Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid! Take your stand [be firm and confident and undismayed] and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for those Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm.”
Exodus 14:13‭-‬14 AMP

God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and a sound mind (or discipline). 2 Tim. 1:7

Friend face your fears today and allow the Lord to fight for you in your battle in spite of and you will see victory. March to Victory in the month of March.

“You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’ ”
2 Chronicles 20:17 NIV

May we join together to pray for the nation and people of the Ukraine 🇺🇦 and the people of Russia. May the Lord pull down the evil strongholds over Russian leaders that, they would come to repentance in peace and not war. May we pray fervently for the children and families of Ukraine for safety and protection. May the Lord God intervene in this crisis in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Greetings! My name is Andy Provitola and I live in New England on the south shore between Boston and the beautiful Cape Cod region. The purpose of my blogging and writing is to encourage you in your journey here on planet earth. Life is full of pressing issues and problems and my desire is to discover a place for peace, hope, healing, and contentment. I am a follower of Jesus Christ – God’s one and only Son of God and discovered these truths along my own personal journey. Having discovered a personal relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ does not mean I have to be religious to attain the rewards of heaven. The fact is God provides grace for us and accepts us as we are in His image. In other words, we cannot attain heaven or life eternal on our own, but by God’s loving grace and no merit of our own. My goal is to continue to find a balance of life from a spiritual and practical perspective with a purpose to please and glorify God in all that I do because of His ‘Gift of Grace’. God is not transcendent and so far away that he is out of reach with humanity. God desires that His presence lives within us and not just in the galaxies and the universe. Experiencing the unconditional love of God has been so rewarding and while discovering the truth and purpose for my life. Moving forward in this life is not a sprint, but a marathon when it comes to this race here on earth. I am blogging because I find it is a good way to connect in a much more effective and efficient way when it comes to communicating and interacting with with people that I do not know. Blogging and writing challenges me and also stretches me specifically in my thoughts, my mind, my emotions, and my spiritual life to live a vertical relation with God and a horizontal relationship with others. There will be a variety of topics and subjects to address including youth, young adults, family, singles, seniors, relationships, etc. Some of the topics will include God’s creation and power, depression, loneliness, suicide, hope, healing, setbacks, financial matters, business, stress, anxiety, care, encouragement, and so much more I would like to connect with all walks of life, ethnicity, culturally, other religions, socio-economics, and more I am currently writing a book and several memoirs about my own life and journey . The journey begins at a young age growing up in Malden, Massachusetts, specifically Maplewood Square to where I am today. I became paralyzed from the waist down as a senior in high school and I share how my life changed for the better! “But I do not consider my life as something of value or dear to me, so that I may [with joy] finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus. To testify faithfully of the good news of God’s [precious undeserved] grace [which makes us free of guilt of sin and grants us eternal life]. Acts 20:24 Amplified Version
