FOR MOM’S on MOTHER’S DAY
Mothers were wired to be multi tasked with many different roles. Most of us do not even realize how many task she can do! (Too many to list here). A mom seems to find a solution to solve a problem or find a cure for some wound when there are no bandages or doctors around. When there is nothing to eat she can whip up a meal from scratch. Mothers and wives have intuition and wisdom that men usually do not have. Her instincts are usually spot on. This is how God designed her.
She is known to be the soccer mom, wonder woman, run the office, and know where everything is that we can’t find. A great cook, a nurse or doctor, a disciplinarian, a prayer warrior, an educator who instructs us in the right paths of life. She trusts the Lord even in impossible situations, giving us wisdom even when it doesn’t make sense. She forgives and has patience in the most trying of times. Gives us unconditional love and acceptance even when we fail and fall flat on our face. Encouraging us to get up and keep trying with no quit in sight. The list is endless.
Mothers are the hidden treasures we seek, only to realize they were there all the time loving us unconditionally through the best and worst of times. God knew exactly what He was doing when He designed and created a mother.
Mother’s should be honored and respected everyday not just one day out of the year. You may be missing your mother (mine just passed away last month), because she is now in heaven, but you can treasure the memories, sharing with your family and friends some of your best and special moments.
One memory I will share is when I took mom to see Johnnie Cash and June Carter at the Melody tent on Cape Cod around 1982. It was one of her happiest of times. The best part was it was a spur of the moment thing like”What are you doing tonight?
Yes mother you will be dearly missed, but the memories will be cherished forever. Thank you for all of the sacrifices for our family and being there even when we were at our worse at times. You taught us how to be committed and stick it out through thick and thin. I love you❤
To all the mother’s including step moms, mom’s who adopted children, and mom’s who have experienced a divorce, mom’s with no biological kid’s, YOU ARE LOVED and WE APPRECIATE YOU!
Have a Blessed Mother’s Day!
“Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She finds wool and flax and busily spins it. She is like a merchant’s ship, bringing her food from afar. She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls. She goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard. She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. She makes sure her dealings are profitable; her lamp burns late into the night. Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fiber. She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy. She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm clothes. She makes her own bedspreads. She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns. Her husband is well known at the city gates, where he sits with the other civic leaders. She makes belted linen garments and sashes to sell to the merchants. She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.
