God Is Never Too Early or Never Too Late, But Is Always Right On Time!
Why was Jesus born at such a time on Bethlehem’s morning? We have to go back to the 400 silent years between the Old and New Testaments. It was prophesied throughout several areas in the Old Testament. We see specific verses 700 years earlier such as Isaiah 7:14. “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.”
Isaiah 7:14 NASB
Imagine approximately 700 years prior The day God’s light cracked the darkness and brought hope to a world full of despair.
The birth of Jesus Christ was perfectly designed and ordained of God the Father. It drove controlling rulers, priest, and kings like Herod absolutely crazy. Even the Shepherds and wise men were anticipating the birth of Christ.
It can be frustrating when your life is not going as planned. Perhaps all hell has been unleashed on your life, your family, your world has been rocked. You may be crying out, “God where are you when I need you the most!”
Your at life’s edge and desperate for an answer or deliverance. You’re determined to get the victory only to discover things are getting worse and not better. It looked grim when the king threw the three Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace or Daniel faced the lions in the arena.
“If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astounded and stood up in haste; he said to his high officials, “Was it not three men we cast bound into the midst of the fire?” They replied to the king, “Certainly, O king.”
Daniel 3:17-18, 24 NASB
There was a fourth person in that furnace. It was Jesus right there with them in the heat of the battle. It was God’s perfect timing!
They trusted God even when it looked impossible. They knew how great God was to them. Their trial was not as great as the God they served was. It was God’s right time to make a statement just like the birth of Jesus Christ.
“But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!”
Galatians 4:4-6 NASB
